The collaborative technology between the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) and Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) utilised a solar-driven desalination technology based on TNO’s high-efficiency membrane distillation (Memstill®) concept. The technology also aims to reduce CO2 emissions by 50-70%.
