Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in Switzerland developed a simple yet effective water sterilization panel. Over the course of 5 hours, the 1 m2 lab scale pilot prototype uses solar thermal energy to filter up to 70 litres of drinking water at low costs.
